Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information TrackDad ("TrackDad", "we", "us") collects when you use the TrackDad mobile app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

TrackDad is operated by Lothar Tjipueja, based in Namibia. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at lotharwebdev@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account information. When you sign in with email and password, Apple, or Google, we receive your email address and, if provided by that sign-in method, your display name and profile photo.
• Financial data you enter. Transaction descriptions, amounts, categories, tags, budgets, recurring transactions, and any shared lists you create or join. This is the core data TrackDad exists to store — we do not connect to your bank account or read your real payment card numbers.
• Voice input. If you use voice entry, your spoken audio is transcribed to text and that text is processed to extract a transaction (amount, description, category). See "Third-party processors" below for who performs this processing.
• Subscription and purchase information. Your subscription status (active, trial, expired) is managed via Apple/Google's in-app purchase systems and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
• Device and push notification data. A device push token, if you enable notifications, so we can send you reminders or alerts you've opted into.
• App preferences. Settings such as currency, voice input language, and appearance preferences.

We do not use advertising SDKs, and the TrackDad app does not currently include third-party analytics or tracking software.

3. How we use your information

• To operate the core features of the app — storing and displaying your transactions, budgets, and lists.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To process voice input into structured transaction data.
• To manage your subscription and verify entitlement to premium features.
• To send you notifications you've opted into.
• To respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

4. Third-party processors

We rely on the following categories of third-party service providers to operate TrackDad:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and app data.
• RevenueCat, together with Apple App Store / Google Play Billing — subscription management and purchase verification.
• Speech-to-text and language-processing providers — used only when you use voice entry, to transcribe your speech and extract transaction details. Audio and transcribed text are sent to these providers solely to perform this processing.

Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own security and data protection commitments; we do not control or independently verify their internal practices beyond our agreements with them.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and financial records within 30 days, except where retention is required to comply with a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

6. Your rights

Wherever you are located, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by emailing lotharwebdev@gmail.com. You can also delete your account directly from within the app. If you're in the EU/UK, California, or another jurisdiction with statutory privacy rights, those rights apply to you and we will honor requests consistent with applicable law.

7. Children's privacy

TrackDad is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. International data transfers

TrackDad is operated from Namibia and used worldwide. Your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including by the third-party providers listed above. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected wherever it is processed.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
